Jacob Batson Family



Jacob Batson, 76 of age from Lock Springs, MO.  Passed away on a Saturday evening at 7:15 pm.
On the arrival at the Chillicothe MO. Hospital.  He had been ill for four days. 
Mr. Batson, a son of Sammy Batson and Margaret H. Batson, was born April 4, 1895 in Grundy County.

He came to Livingston County at an early age and spent most of his lifetime in the County.
He was a veteran of World War 1, and then became a Farmer.

March 31, 1923, He married Martha Ralls from Chillicothe, MO.  She survives of the home.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons.

Sammy Batson from Chula, and Jimmy Batson from Mooresville.  A daughter, Mrs. Margaret Lawson, from Chillicothe, MO.  Two brothers, Albert Batson, from Chillicothe, MO. and Charlie Batson from Galesburg.  A sister, Mrs. Hattie M. Alexander, from Chillicothe, MO.  He also leaves behind 23 grandchildren today.

The son of Jimmy Batson and Claudine Gardner, a sister of Viola Gardner Knouse.  Viola Jewell Knouse passed away May 26, 2002 in Chillicothe, Livingston Co., MO.   She was born Nov. 7, 1924 in MO.
She married Alva Virgil Knouse Aug. 27, 1946 in Chillicothe, MO.  He passed away in 1984.  She survived by one son Oscar Daniel Knouse.

Viola was buried along with her husband in the Hutchinson Cemetery in Chillicothe, MO.
